The first post-hiatus gig!

As I’m sure most Red Hot Chili Pepper fans are aware, January 29 2010 was the date set for RHCP’s first post-hiatus gig. The event was MusiCares and RHCP were one of many to perform as part of the tribute concert for Neil Young who we as to be honored with the “Person of the Year” award. This long awaited event seems to have been a success, based on comments from those who were so kind to tweet from the event. Pics have surfaced, but still no sign of video. Red Hot Chili Peppers performed a cover of the Neil Young hit, “A Man Needs a Maid” and were said to make it their own. Grammy.com announced that portions of MusiCares would be streamed live from the event, and the schedule originally showed that from 8pm (LA time) they would be showing footage. Not too long before the concert was due to commence, that was removed from the schedule. There was live footage of the red carpet arrivals, but no sign of RHCP there. Amazing!! What an awesome cause… MusiCares and RHCP have both played a huge role in my recovery battling addiction. I am so grateful and fortunate. Much love and support to the organization and band.
